Welcome to Yarraman, a picturesque country town about two hours drive from
Brisbane,a little over an hour from the Sunshine Coast and less than an hour
from the Bunya Mountains National Park. Another National Park only half an hours drive from Yarraman is The Palms National Park, one of the smallest national parks in Australia containing remnant vegetation , especially palm trees, that once would have predominated throughout the area.
The noisy Pitta, a shy but colourful ground bird is also found within The Palms National Park.
In and around Yarraman can be found a large number of fascinating places to visit and interesting things to do including Wineries, Farm visits and stays, Local and Natural history museums, gold fossicking, Tarong Power Station and the Meandu Coal Mine, National Parks, Forest drives and walks in the State Forests, not to mention the fresh water fishing in the creeks and dams around the area.
Do yourself a favour and take a relaxed trip into the country and visit this beautiful part of the world.
